Behind the scenes, a national collaboration of provincial and federal government agencies and academics are taking on the fight against avian influenza – with extensive science in the field and lab. Canada’s Interagency Surveillance Program for Avian Influenza in Wildlife, formed 20 years ago, continues the work of better understanding this virus so it can be countered here in BC, across Canada, and around the world.
